Hi! Thanks for stopping by! My name is Tina Sheets and I can't wait to meet you and learn more about your special event. I was born and raised in Indiana but have called Charlotte home since 1998. I have had an interest in working around events for as long as I can remember.
Being the daughter of an artist, you might say planning and designing events has always been in my blood. As early as 10 years old, I can recall helping my dad serve drinks at his business events and always wanting to find a way to be involved any way I could! In 2013 after spending a couple years at home following the birth of my daughter, I decided I was ready to get back to work doing what I loved most, helping people host great events. Armed with a background in hospitality and marketing, an eye for design, and some good old fashion know how, ASA Events has quickly become one of the go to planning firms in the Carolina's.
When I'm not hard at work you will most likely find me outside appreciating the Carolina weather, relaxing with family and friends or shopping. I mean, what girl doesn't like to shop, right?
I am originally from Connecticut, but have called North Carolina my home for over half my life - so you can say I’m basically a native! I am fueled by Americanos (espresso runs through my veins), live by my planner, love a good morning workout, and when I am not working a fabulous event - you can find me spending time with family and friends, or with my toes in the sand at the beach!
Growing up I always had an eye for detail (thanks Mom!) and constantly found ways to get involved with planning events. I absolutely love working with others and have a passion for bringing someone’s vision come to life, start to finish. After attending East Carolina University and receiving my degree in Hospitality Management and minor in Business Administration, I left my hometown of Clayton, NC to move to Charlotte and explore all that this beautiful city has to offer! During my time in college I was given the opportunity to help start a business in the wedding industry where I learned the ins & out of what goes into putting together a couples big day! My vast experience in the hospitality industry began with working my way up as a server, interning at a country club, and working alongside some of the best wedding planners & event professionals in NC. I look forward to meeting you!
Meet Arlene A Jersey raised and Southern embraced idea girl. Trained as a graphic artist at the Art Institute, she has an eye for detail which has made her an instant success and favorite among clients.
She has a sense for colors, a knack for style and firmness on getting things completed in a timely manner. Her organizational skills are at the heart of every project, yet she's flexible enough to accommodate and solve unforeseen problems or tasks.
In her spare time, Arlene is either working on a home project with her husband John, knuckle deep in hot glue from her latest craft project, enjoying the outdoors or traveling East Coast. Raised in New Jersey, Arlene has fully embraced the South. As a classically trained graphic artist, Arlene has a great eye for detail that suits her well while designing some of Charlotte’s best weddings. Her organizational skills paired with her eye for detail has quickly made her one of A Simple Affair’s favorite planners.
